DIY Trobleshooting Techniques

  • Confirm you are connected to correct WIFI or ethernet cord is connected correctly.
  • Run a Speed Test/ Confirm Internet is working.
  • Clear Browser Cache and Cookies.
  • How many tabs to do you have running? Close all tabs that are not in use.
  • How many other programs are running? Close all programs that are not in use.
  • Eliminate Complications, are your browser customizations complicating things? Try Guest Mode.
  • Refresh Broswer
  • Test link on additional Web Broswer, such as Chrome, Firefox, or Edge.
  • Closing and reopening the program/ Web browser/ application.
  • When all else fails, restarting the computer is a good thing to try. This can solve a lot of basic issues you may experience with your computer.

Keep good documentation as you come across issues, this will help communicate what the issue is.

  • Identify what is happening.
  • Copy and paste URL and insert into the description (The URL is the web address at the top).
  • Make note of what you were doing when issue occured.
  • Attach a screenshot.

Write down your steps

Once you start troubleshooting, you may want to write down each step you take. This way, you'll be able to remember exactly what you've done and can avoid repeating the same mistakes.

Please verify you are using correct username/ email or password within the site module. You can always reset password within the site module you are using.
